SOLIDARITY EVENING AT THE IES FRANCESC RIBALTA

A little more than a month ago, we told you that Alexandra Elena, Cristina Salvador, Rebeca, Lara Bellés and Jessica Rendon, students of 2ºA of the upper training cycle of pre-school Education at IES (High School) Francesc Ribalta (Castellón), had chosen our project as the subject to be exposed in their work on NGOs or non-profit associations. The proposal of Joana, teacher of the subject “Intervention with families and attention to minors in situation of social risk”, was that they chose one of all the associations presented in class and that would be assigned the collected money in a solidary market.

One day this week they were delighted to announce us that our Association had been chosen in their class, and that they had made some sensorial dolls they would sell and give all the collected money to our cause. Last Friday evening, on the occasion of the celebration of the “International Day of the Children´s Rights” that was on Sunday, a solidarity market was organized in the hall of the High School, where we came eagerly with Celia. We spent a fantastic evening with the students and teachers, among whom we felt very welcome, especially little Celia who received a lot of affection from everybody.

We want to thank teacher Joana for this beautiful initiative, IES Francesc Ribalta for making possible an evening of solidarity, and these young people so committed to social causes. It is a pleasure to have people like you, thanks for making us spend an unforgettable evening.
